High-precision power chuck (HPF)

Precise clamping down to the nearest thousandth percent: With its high-precision power chuck of the HPF series, the SAV Group provides a clamping device with a run-out reproducibility of less than 0.003 mm.
SAV developed the 3-jaw chuck with large throughput especially for use in machining technologies that require the highest precision. This makes it the ideal clamping chuck for cylindrical grinding, hard turning and precision turning with counter spindle and suitable for internal and external stresses. Based on decades of know-how in rotary clamping technology and high-precision manufacturing methods, the HPF series of SAV achieves a run-out reproducibility of less than 0.003 mm.
The innovative jaw interface, which was developed by the experts in the rotating clamping technology especially for the HPF series, guarantees exceptionally precise exchange reproducibility. The wedge hub connection between the base and mounting jaw ensures that the rework of the clamping points is not required after changing the jaw.
Low maintenance: no lubrication, less cleaning
A permanent lubrication and thus a constant clamping force ensures the oil capacity. The clamping chuck is sealed against the penetration of dirt and coolant as well as against the leakage of the lubricant and hence is virtually maintenance-free. The design-optimised double-angle housing guides the dirt away from the clamping point by using centrifugal forces. An anti-stick coating also ensures that no dirt adheres to the chuck. The expense for cleaning work is therefore significantly reduced.
Despite its lightweight design, the HPF series 3-Jaw high-precision power chuck is particularly wear-resistant. Since selected materials such as high-strength aluminium are used, customers benefit from a long service life. The chuck is actuated by a force clamping cylinder.
